Terrestrial Robots

Since the early 2000s with the huge success of packbot, talon, panther and predator in the saving lives of armed personnel, there has been an increasing interest in robotics for defense and security applications to enhance public safety. My research interest in this theme seeks to develop unmanned systems technology at the miniature scale, with a broader goal for Intelligent Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR). As part of this work, we have investigate broadly into a variety of efficient locomotion principles, controls and GPS localization approaches for numerous ISR platforms.
