1) RF/mm-wave IC Designers
Job Description:
The position involves designing RFIC and MMIC from concept through to finished products. The candidate shall participate as a team player in research and development of the first-pass RFIC building blocks such as PA, LNA, VGA, VCO, etc. with state of the art performance. The candidate will be responsible for the complete RFIC design cycle including circuit schematic entry, post-layout corner simulations, on-wafer IC validation and trouble-shooting. The candidate will prepare technical reports and top journal and conference papers.
Essential Experience/Skills:
- Experience with RF simulation tools mainly Cadence Design Environment (Virtuoso, Spectre-RF, etc.) and EM solvers (Keysight ADS Momentum, Ansys HFSS, etc.) is necessary.
- In-depth understanding of RFIC custom layout techniques and on-wafer testing.
- Must have been involved in several successful RFIC tapeouts.
- Experience in RF process technologies (CMOS or SiGe BiCMOS) is strongly desired.
- Familiar with PCB design for RF applications.
- Self-motivated with capability of diligently planning own work to meet the project deadlines.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor/Master’s/PhD degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

2) IoT Cybersecurity Software Engineers
SUTD is looking for a highly motivated software engineers to be part of a project team in the area of Internet of Things (IoT) with focus on cybersecurity. The candidate will have the opportunity to design and develop novel technologies based on Artificial Intelligent (AI) and latest cryptographic primitives that can protect an IoT infrastructure from cyber-attacks. The successful candidates will have opportunities to publish and protect novel and original techniques developed. The candidates should possess:
- Bachelor or Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or EE or Cybersecurity.
- Basic knowledge of cryptographic principles, and technologies (such as Al algorithms) that can protect an IoT infrastructure.
- Experience with developing machine learning/deep learning models with focus on mitigating cybersecurity threats. Deployment experience of these models in an IoT environment is a plus.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon AWS or Azure. Knowledge on Amazon IoT is a plus.
- Knowledge with common IoT application-based security issues.
- Good team player, self-starter, ability to work independently and good communication skills.
- Demonstrate ability to document the research work.
