Song Guanghui received the B.S. degree in communication and engineering from Henan Normal University, Xinxiang, China, in 2006, the M.S. degree in telecommunications engineering from Xidian University, Xi’an, China, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Intelligent Information Engineering and Sciences, Doshisha University, Kyoto, Japan, in 2012. From 2013 to 2015, he was a Research Assistant with Doshisha University. From 2015 to 2016, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Western Ontario, London, Canada. From 2016 to 2017, he was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Singapore. During the year 2017 and 2018, he went to Doshisha University as a Research fellowship for Young Scientists and a part-time lecturer. His research interests are in the areas of channel coding theory, multiuser coding, and coding for storage systems.
He Xuan received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in communication and information engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China, in 2011, 2013, and 2018, respectively. From Oct. 2016 to Sep. 2017, he was a Visiting Student sponsored by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) with the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada. His current research interests include information theory, channel coding, pseudorandom sequence, and DNA data storage.
