My research is in the area of applied probability and statistics with an emphasis on extreme value theory and occurence of rare events both in theory and practice. This work has also lead me to other fields like social network analysis, congestion and queueing, robust optimization, all of which provide a flavor of tail-heavy distributional behavior.
