Oliver Weeger

Biography:

Dr. Oliver Weeger is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). He is a member of the SUTD Digital Manufacturing and Design Centre (DManD) and the Vision, Graphics and Computational Design Group (VGD). Together with Prof. Dr. Martin L. Dunn and Dr. Sai-Kit Yeung he is working on numerical methods for mechanical simulation and design optimization for additive manufacturing and digital design applications.
Oliver received his doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) from the Department of Mathematics at the University of Kaiserslautern in 2015 and his diploma in Techno-Mathematics (Dipl.-Tech.Math.) from Technical University of Munich (TUM) in 2011. During his doctoral studies he had been working as Ph.D. Student Researcher for Siemens Corporate Technology in Munich and as Research Associate at TU Kaiserslautern.
Oliver's research expertise and interests lie in the fields of numerical analysis, simulation and optimization, in particular in the domain of computational mechanics of structures and solids.
