In this nationwide project, we designed and manufactued 50,000 SENSg devices to be used by young Singaporean students for week-long experiments. The data collected by the SENSg can be used for a variety of analytics, e.g., to determine the number of steps the students take each day and their travel patterns. All data is wirelessly transferred to a cloud infrastructure with a central portal for the students. The data will be aggregated (combined) to provide insights into how mobile Singapore’s youths are and their travel patterns. Students can also view the results, compare trends among their cohort, and gain meaningful insights from these findings.

I am responsible for overall security of the system, the design and implementation of the cloud backend, and general communication-related questions.
